We provide full time dog care i.e. 24 hours, 7 days a week,never leaving your pet dogs alone.
The two of us Yumi and Luke are retirees, not working elsewhere but just stay at home to care for your pet dogs.
We allow your pets to sleep on the bed with us,if that is your practice at your home.
Your pets are allowed to run freely in our 1,200 sq ft apartment with minimium furnitures. ( Yumi and Luke are the only tenants in the flat).
We walk your pets as many times as you want us to ( we do not charge for the walks or baths)
Your dogs may be shampooed and bathed as many times as you want.
Cooking special meals for your pets may be done and is free of charge.
We do not take in dogs that are infested with fleas,ticks etc.
We do recommend owners apply "Frontline" on their dogs at least 24 hours before the commencement of boarding.
Unsterilised dogs above age 7 months will not be allowed to board.( discretion will be left to us)
Regular reports of your dogs are available on request.
Personal blogs with videos and photographs of your dogs may be created on request only(frequencies of updates done at our discretion).
We are very experienced in dog care/dog sitting,having looked after hundreds of dogs and various breeds.
Pet taxis are available at the cost of S$30 upwards (one way)

These 3 toy breeds of Pomeranian and 2 Chihuahua had a fun time at Changi beach yesterday. It was a 30 minutes ride to the beach and they enjoyed the car ride as well. Being a weekday, the beach was almost deserted. At first we brought them to Pungol beach but it was not as good and clean as Changi. We will post a video of the outing in a short while.

What is kennel cough aka canine cough?
Like the common cold in humans, the organisms that cause canine cough are airborne. Possible sources of infection include anywhere dogs congregate.

The stress of temperature change or damp conditions is believed by some to contribute to CC. A different environment in the kennel, strange people and other animals, reduced rest (from barking), and more crowded conditions can reduce a healthy dog's immune response. Add parainfluenza (or other viruses) with Bordetella (or other respiratory bacteria) and your dog has a hacking cough. Just as humans are prone to upper respiratory infections (common colds) when in certain conditions, it boils down to basic immunity. Have your ever been on a plane or in a room with a lot of people when someone sneezes? You may go home perfectly healthy, but your friend or relative will get a cold. It's no one's fault--it just happens.

TWO TYPES OF VACCINES. (And safe for puppies as well as pregnant bitches!)

There is the painlessly applied nasal vaccine which builds protection at the site of potential infection, starting within 48 hours. The "nose drop" vaccine is the one that we recommend for your dog. (Even though it is "painless" some dogs are resentful and will struggle.)

And, there is the injection by needle that works through the dog's lymph immune system. the needle injection vaccine requires two injections 3 to 4 weeks apart in order to build long-term protection against CC. Since some people don't go back for the booster 3-4 weeks after the initial vaccine, we do NOT recommend the injectable vaccine. Check with your veterinarian for his/her recommendations.

Whisky had diarrhea and so to be on the safe side,Luke from Dog Pet Hotel where Whisky is currently boarding,brought him to consult the vet at Companion Animal Clinic. Whisky is 13 years old and has heart murmur. He is now feeling much better and of course with a medical bill of $90 plus $50 transport,it created a hole in his owner's pocket.

Luke holding Cesar and Venus is the one on far right. Cesar is about 2 years old and hasn't been back to Dog Sitter Singapore for almost 16 months. He was here a few times when he was a tiny weeny puppy of 4 to 8 months. He has grown big now. The first time he saw me after a 16 month break,it was amazing he still remembered me.

Mini Schnauzers are great pets. Above is Bubble on your left and Whisky,a 13 year old neutered male. Bubble is a 3 year old spayed bitch. Both have good temperement and good toilet habits. They are newbies at Dog Sitter Singapore and have provened to be wonderful pets. We simply love them like any other of our "hotel guests".

Billy and Booey are 2 Yorkies who belong to 2 different owners. They are like brothers,playing,eating and sleeping together.

Charges and frequently asked questions at Dog Sitter Singapore Pet Hotel

Q) You charge S$50 a day per pet. I have 2 dogs so how much are the charges?

A) You will still be charged S$50 per dog per day and that mean S$100 for 2 dogs per day in your case.

Q)S$50 for a dog is rather expensive isn't it?

A)We do not think so.Let us compare with the pet hotel charges. Pet hotel charges anything from $20 to $28 for boarding per dog. Walking the dog ranges from $5 to $8 for 30 mins. Bathing your dog may cost another $8.Then you will to pay compulsary charges like de-fleaing and de-ticking which is about $35. There may be other hidden charges.
Let's work out and see how much would you pay a pet hotel per day for your pet dog.
Let's say boarding = $25
Walk 3x a day = $18 ($6 per walk)
Total per day = $43

( and if you add $35 for de-fleaing/de-ticking and$5 for bath and divide by,let's say 4 days of boarding,it may cost $10 more a day)

Therefore if you add the $43 a day for boarding and $10 for misc.,you would pay $53 a day.
But here at my place,your pet is Not caged up and sleeps in air-conditioned room with me if need be. We would walk your pet up to 5 times a day if you like and clean their legs and backsides after they poo poo or pee. We would bathe him/her 2 times a week and dry their fur/coat with a dryer. Here your pet gets 24 hrs care a day as well as spiced with love and attention.
In conclusion,S$50 a day is very cheap. Dozens of expatraites and local dog owners can't be wrong ( read their compliments in our webpage).

Q) Would there be other dogs besides mine?

A) Yes, there would be other dogs but we will try to limit the number to 4 at any one time.However,due to overlapping bookings we may have more than 4 at a time but it's rare.
There are times when your pet can be the only one here with us

Q) What is the ratio of dogs to a pet sitter?

A) The ratio is usually 2 dogs to 1 dog sitter. Sometimes, it could be the other way round i.e. 2 dogsitters to 1 dog.

Q) Do you provide food for my dog?

A) No we do not provide food

Q) My pet eats cooked food at home,so can you cook for my pet and how much do you charge for that extra work?

A) Yes,we can cook for your pet and we do not charge anything for that extra work.However,you have to provide the food.

Q) How many times do you walk the dogs and how much do you charged per walk?

A) We walk the dogs up to 5 times a day but it is all up to the owners.No,we do not charge for the walks.

Q) If I were to board my dog from 1 July to 7 July 2007,how do calculate the charges?

A) In this case we will count as 7 days,which means S$350.

Q) Can I bring my pet to your place before the start of his stay so as to get
to know you and your place?

A) Certainly and we encourage that.

Q) I am worried about my dog when I am overseas.Can you send reports of my pet via email?

A) We want you to have peace of mind and so we do provide reports via email and better still,we create private blogs for your pet dog with photographs and short videos of him/her once every 2 to 3 days.

Q) My dog sleeps on the bed with me and as such do you allow my pet to sleep in the same room as you?

A) Yes, we go one step further.We even allow your pet to sleep on the bed with us.

Q) How do I make payment?

A) First,you need to let us know 1 month in advance when you want to board your pet.Second,you need to pay us a 20 % deposit when you make up your mind.Third, you pay us 30% on the first day you place your dog with us and lastly the balance of the payment (50%) shall be paid when you fetch your dog home. All payments should be in cash
Please note that cancellation of boarding shall result in the forfeiture of the deposit.

Q) Do you leave my pet alone at your place?

A) No, we are always with your pet 24/7

These 4 pet dogs share bed with their owners. A request was made by their owners to have them with us on our bed. We gladly obliged as the 4 of them were clean and free from ticks,fleas etc. They enjoyed staying with us.
